Shipping & Delivery Policy – Leit Verslun

At Leit Verslun, we are committed to providing a reliable and seamless delivery experience for all our customers. The following outlines our current shipping and delivery policies.

1. Shipping Responsibility

All products sold on leitverslun.is are sold and shipped directly by Leit Leið ehf. (operating as Leit Verslun).
We take full responsibility for the safe and on time delivery of your order and are here to assist at every step.

2. Shipping Methods

  • Free In-Store Pickup
    Pick up your order at Leit Verslun, Hverafold 1–3, 112 Reykjavík.
    You will receive a notification once your order is ready for collection.

  • Delivery in the Reykjavik Capital Area
    We offer hand-delivery through our team within 1–4 business days:

    • Fast Delivery: 1–2 days

    • Standard Delivery: 2–4 days

  • Shipping Outside Reykjavik / Custom Requests
    For deliveries outside the capital area or to rural locations, please contact us to arrange a custom shipping solution.

3. Shipping Fees

  • In-Store Pickup: Free

  • Small Items: 1,500 – 2,500 ISK + VAT

  • Large Items (requiring special handling): 5,000 – 8,000 ISK + VAT

Final shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on item size and delivery location.

4. Delivery Timeframes

  • Orders placed before 12:00 PM (noon) are typically dispatched the same day or next business day.

  • You may request a preferred delivery date at checkout. While we do our best to accommodate, it is not guaranteed unless confirmed.

🚚 Deliveries take place Monday to Sunday, excluding public holidays.

5. Order Tracking & Confirmation

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email or SMS confirmation.
For hand deliveries, the recipient may be contacted directly to confirm delivery timing.

6. Missed Deliveries

If the recipient is unavailable:

  • We will contact them via the phone number provided.

  • If delivery is not possible, the order will be returned to Leit Verslun, Hverafold 1–3, 112 Reykjavík, for in-store pickup.

7. Delays & Exceptions

Delays due to weather, high order volumes, or logistical issues may occasionally occur. We appreciate your patience and will notify you of any delays as soon as possible.
